Getting Started
New here? No worries. Follow these simple steps to get the Rocket League overlay working in your stream.
Quick start (5 steps)
- Install BakkesMod for Rocket League.
- Run the included SOS plugin installer to enable live game data.
- Open this app and go to Broadcasts. Create a new broadcast.
- Click Go Live and copy the Live URL.
- In your streaming software, add a Browser Source with that URL at 1920×1080. Start a match—your overlay appears automatically.
1) Install BakkesMod
BakkesMod is a required Rocket League mod that lets the overlay receive in‑game events. Click here to download and install it. After installing, launch Rocket League at least once with BakkesMod running.
2) Install the SOS Plugin
The SOS plugin sends live match data from BakkesMod to this app. Click the button below to download the installer from this site (it lives in our public
folder):
Run the .exe
and follow the prompts. Then open BakkesMod, go to the plugins menu, and make sure the SOS plugin is enabled.
- Windows only: you may need to allow the installer in SmartScreen.
- Keep BakkesMod running while you play Rocket League.
3) Create a broadcast
In this app, go to Broadcasts, then click New Broadcast. Give it a name and adjust any settings you like (teams, overlay style, etc.).
4) Go live & add to your stream
When you’re ready, open your broadcast and click Go Live. Copy the generated Live URL. In OBS/XSplit/other, add a Browser Source with that URL and set the size to 1920×1080.
- Start a Rocket League match—your overlay appears automatically.
- If nothing shows: confirm BakkesMod is running and the SOS plugin is enabled.
